21-08-08 This is Devon, not Iceland!

Fresh Air Studios played host to ‘Mock the Week’ star comedian Hugh Dennis this week to record the television commercials for Iceland.

Fresh Air Studios Facilities provided ISDN voiceover booth connectivity to Manchester so that the Tom Reddy Agency could record the voiceovers for a series of Iceland television commercials whilst Mr Dennis was visiting the area.

An excellent example of how ISDN technology can be used to widen the range of voiceover artists available to an agency – no matter where they may be.

25-07-08 Audio Branding for The London Hilton on Park Lane

Fresh Air Studios has recently completed work for the new customer contact lines for the prestigious The London Hilton on Park Lane. Working in close relationship with their telecommunications consultants, the work included specialist scriptwriting for the IVR system (provided by Fresh Air Studios Senior Writer, Jon Iles), voice casting, recording and prompt encoding. The goal being to create an audio representation of the Hilton brand to greet callers from the moment they first contact the hotel.

Fresh Air Studios has completed audio branding work for the world’s leading electronic payment service: VocaLink. The work included revamping the ‘sound’ of the customer enquiry lines as part of the groups rebrand following the merger of Voca (formerly known as BACS) and Link (internationally recognised at the worlds busiest provider of ATMs).

The brief was to create a distinctive audio signature to reflect the organisation’s leading approach to technology, reliability and their global position. Fresh Air Studios in collaboration with consultants Anigraphics, has completed creating a new sound to leading pizza delivery experts Papa John’s on-line and telephone ordering system.

The project featured specialist prompt recording, encoding and scriptwriting advice, and featured the vibrant and upbeat voice of Lisa Hartwell. And, since Lisa’s favourite food of all time is pizza - It’s a great example of the right voice for the right job!

Fresh Air Studios has recently completed specialist editing, audio optimisation and encoding for 3 Hong Kong: The new 3G mobile network – part of the international group Hutchison Whampoa Limited who also operates the 3 Video Mobile network in the UK.

The project involved processing several hundred audio prompts which will be used to create the user interface (IVR – Interactive Voice Response system) for the customer contact centre, voicemail, videomail, top-up and network operation, working with the masters supplied by the recording studio in Hong Kong. Prompts were supplied in both English and Chinese.
