A Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Sound to Theatre’s Summer Brochure

Plymouth Theatre Royal’s Summer Season sounds super thanks to Fresh Air Studios and voiceover artist Jon Iles. They have brought to life the traditional printed brochure in an audio version, to enable the visually impaired and others to have access to the full range of information on the Summer Season 2008 at the Theatre Royal and Drum Theatre.

The audio brochure sees a collaboration between the Theatre Royal, Orgill Advertising and Fresh Air Studios to make the award-winning theatre even more accessible to residents of Devon and Cornwall as well as visitors to the area.

Full details of the whole season’s entertainment, as well as information on the Theatre’s facilities and services, TR2, and school’s projects are included on one CD, written and produced by Plymouth-based audio production company Fresh Air Studios and voiced by former star of The Bill and local voiceover Jon Iles.

“I love recording the audio brochure because it brings the shows to life. I hope my love of theatre and enthusiasm for all performing arts comes across to the listener. This season is especially exciting because the new tour of Mary Poppins premieres in Plymouth. I’m also looking forward to Matthew Bourne’s World Premiere of Dorian Gray, as well as Relatively Speaking, one of Ayckbourne’s funniest plays that I appeared in myself a few years ago.”
